Kelsey and Jack moved to Charleston in 2018 from Long Island, NY on a mission to grow the game of lacrosse. Fast forward to present day, now married and living the dream, they've come to know lacrosse as more than just a game, it's their way of life. It's the collection of memories made, life lessons learned, and relationships built along the way.

Kelsey Reynolds
Director
2026/2027 Coach
Coach Reynolds was born and raised in Long Island, NY. She played NCAA Div I women's lacrosse at the University of Florida and the University of Delaware. After graduating, Dlugos (Reynolds) became the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Presbyterian College. She has also coached at various high schools and youth programs on Long Island. Coach Reynolds now resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, and is a Major Gift Officer at USA Lacrosse. She also coaches varsity girls lacrosse at Lucy Beckham High School.

Lexie Walton
2026/2027 Coach
Lexie grew up playing lacrosse in Columbus, Ohio. She moved to Charleston after playing NCAA Div I lacrosse at Winthrop University. Lexie was a standout attacker during her 4-year career, and as result was selected for First-Team All-Conference and Second-Team All-State. During college, she spent her off-seasons coaching youth, middle, and high school travel teams. Coach Lexie now resides in Daniel Island and is a girls varsity lacrosse coach for Bishop England High School.


Camille O'Kane
2024/2025 Coach
2030/2031 White Coach
Coach Camille grew up in Syracuse NY playing lacrosse since the age of 10. Through high school and college, she helped coach summer camps and youth leagues. She played lacrosse for SUNY Oswego as an attacker, alongside Coach Clara, her sister, and coach Montana. Shortly after graduating Camille moved to Charleston and is currently the assistant coach for the girl’s varsity lacrosse team at Academic Magnet High School.

Clara O'Kane
2024/2025 Coach
2030/2031 White Coach
Coach Clara is originally from upstate New York and played college lacrosse at SUNY Oswego with her sister Camille and Coach Montana. She moved down to Charleston in the spring of 2020 and is the Head Girl’s Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Academic Magnet High School. She enjoys teaching life lessons through lacrosse and coaching with Palmetto Lacrosse allows her to do that!
Emily Beckmann
2028/2029 Coach
From Apex, NC, Coach Emily started playing lacrosse as soon as she could hold a stick. Her father, who played at University of Maryland Baltimore County, made sure of it. Emily continued her career through college where she played NCAA Division 1 lacrosse at Wofford College. After graduating in 2022, Emily moved to Charleston and is excited to advance her coaching career with Palmetto Lacrosse. She brings several years of travel lacrosse coaching experience and is looking forward to help grow the game in the Lowcountry.

Sarah Barnes
2028/2029 Coach
Coach Sarah grew up in northern Maryland where she began playing lacrosse at 8 years old. She played for her high school in Westminster, making it to the state championship games two of the four years. She attended East Carolina university and played on the club lacrosse team. She served 2 years as the club president, 2 years with the mid Atlantic womens lacrosse league, and three years on the ECU club sports council as a student representative. Sarah moved to DC after college and coached youth club lacrosse for 5 years as well as two public high school JV teams. Her last season at South Lakes high school she served as the sole JV coach and brought her team to a 10-1-1 record.


Melanie Gandy
2030/2031 Blue Coach
Originally from Baltimore, MD, “Mel” relocated to Charleston in 2018. After winning a State Championship in her senior year of high school, she went on play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Robert Morris University. She earned First Team All-Conference Awards and holds the record as All-Time Assist Leader at RMU. She’s grateful to have gotten the chance to play with her twin-sister, Makenzie, throughtout her playing career. Melanie left RMU with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Melanie coached at various middle school and travel lacrosse programs. She’s extremely passionate about lacrosse and is excited to watch the sport grow in the South.

Makenzie Gandy
2030/2031 Blue Coach
Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, “Kenzie” started playing lacrosse at only 3 years old! She won a State Championship her senior year of high school and went on to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Robert Morris University. Makenzie is the All-Time Leading Scorer and All-Time Leading Points Holder at RMU. In addition to Palmetto Lacrosse, Makenzie coaches for the Bishop England’s Varsity Lacrosse team. Lacrosse has taught her many life lessons along the way and is looking forward to passing that on to the next generation of young athletes.
Montana Garrett
2030/2031 Blue Coach
Coach Montana moved to Charleston from Westchester County, New York. She started playing lacrosse in third grade and continued through her college years at The State University of New York at Oswego. She was a scholar-athlete and received many awards throughout her collegiate career including, All-SUNYAC Third Team in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Montana enjoys coaching youth girls lacrosse because it's given her the opportunity to contribute to the next generation of female student-athletes.

Elizabeth Smiley
Developmental Team Coach
Elizabeth Smiley has 28 years of experience in girl's lacrosse! After playing 4 years in college she coached at various levels in the Philadelphia area varying from middle schools to national tournament teams. She also co-founded the West Chester Girls K-8 Youth Lacrosse League. In 2019 she was named Head Coach of Philip Simmons High School for their inaugural season. As well as volunteering for the local recreation leagues, she also coaches at summer camps, Lil’ Laxers for preschool age girls and boys, and the GROM and Turbo for the Loggerheads lacrosse program.

Brianne Snyder
Developmental Team Coach
Brianne Snyder, a Long Island, NY native, played at Oneonta State where she was a four-year starter, leading scorer, team captain, and named SUNYAC All Academic-Team and 1st Team Player. After graduation, she moved to Arizona where she was named Coach of the Year for two consecutive years for coaching a local high school team through two consecutive, undefeated seasons and winning State Championships both years. After an excellent two seasons, Brianne became the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at the University of Arizona.
Tristyn Kuehn
Goalie Coach
Coach K grew up in the Cincinnati Ohio area and has been playing lacrosse as a goalie since she was 9 years old. Following a high school career that included several selections to national tournament teams and the Under Armour All American Midwest team, she committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse as a member of the inaugural class for Coastal Carolina University. From there, she went on to be a Graduate Assistant Lacrosse Coach for the Division II University of Indianapolis Women's lacrosse team.
